For the occasional home doughnut maker, I think this does the job well. After a little experimentation I was able to turn out round doughnuts that vanished from the plate faster than I could make them. The unit is constructed of lightweight plastic and has a simple design. It can be disassembled completely for cleaning. It is fairly lightweight, and can make maybe five 3" doughnuts to a filling. It ships in a no-frills cardboard box with limited instructions printed on it. Your best bet is to find a batter-based recipe online and experiment with the usage.
I guess I can't say it works great for donuts (never tried), but it's perfect as a pancake dispenser! Have been using this one for 10+ years, still looks & works great. Also like it when pouring cupcake batter, keeps the edges neat & clean...I give it short shots of batter for more volume control. It holds about 2-1/4 cups of batter at a time.
After we use this mold some times, I am able to make donnut very quickly, this does the job well for home doughnut maker.

I don't use this to make donuts, I put my pancake batter in it, and get perfectly round pancakes, love it.
