My family loves to BBQ year round because, thereās nothing better than meats and vegetables cooked on a barbecue. To me nothing beats the taste of grilled food. I recently tried the Laukingdom BBQ nonstick grill mats. You receive a set of five round mats that came rolled up and shipped inside of a box. As soon as I received them I took them out of the packaging and I was amazed at how once they were unrolled they stayed flat and did not curl back up. I washed and dried them off before my first use. Next I heated up my gas grill on medium heat and once hot I placed the nonstick mat onto my grilling grates. I decided on my first try to cook a boneless leg of lamb that I had marinated before cooking. First off let me say the size of the mats are big enough to accommodate my cooking style. I found that cooking my food on the mat left my meat moist, flavorful and cooked to perfection. The meat was basically cooking in some of its juices which helped to infuse flavor into my food. Cooking on these reusable grilling liners avoids your food from burning, sticking and or avoids any type of flame flare ups, as we all know itās happened to most of us. I love the fact that all of the mess stays on the mat so there is less clean up afterwards. The mats do allow for some grilling marks to appear on the meat but, at the end I place my food directly on the grill for some additional grill marks. Cleaning was very simple, just a sponge with soap and hot water is all you need and they look like new again. Overall these nonstick reusable grill mats created the perfect grilling experience. I am looking forward to barbecuing with my new cooking mate so my family and I can enjoy many great meals together.
I just got this two days ago and have used it that night. We had a very healthy dinner that night. Since I just used salt and pepper and garlic powder as a rub before cooking, no extra calories. Did not taste greasy as I soaked up all the fat with the paper towel. We used Johnny's Sweet Hot & crazy marinade and wing sauce to pour over the chicken AFTER it was grilled. Gave is such a great flavor!Cleanup takes two seconds. I love these things! Highly recommend this product but be patient and try what works best for you.
We grill multiple times a week, year round, and I was looking for mats that would make for an easy clean up. A great product. We haven't experimented too much yet, but so far we've tried breaded zucchini, pork schnitzel, bacon wrapped asparagus, chicken wings and ribs - and the mats have worked great. Would definitely order them again but think it will be a long time before I will need to.
I bought 2 of these mats early last year and was impressed with how well they worked, so I made this purchase to have extra on hand. They do wear out and I donāt wait for them to tear or get holes before replacing. They last a good long time as long as I gently scrape the residue off and wash them with warm water and a grease cutting dish detergent (Dawn). I use a no scratch sponge and they clean up pretty well. Careful of extreme grill heat such as grease fire from fatty meats. Extreme temperature will reduce the life of the mat. You do get grill marks and food tastes great. Would recommend this to family and friends.
My brother has use this in the past and recommended that I try them on my barbecue. Boy these work great, yesterday I grilled halibut on them and the day before we grilled chopped up vegetables. Everything cooked perfect. Nothing stuck to the mats and I wash them with soap and water and let them dry to use another day. Very happy with them, if and when they were out Iāll buy them again.
Rented a lakeside vacation cottage and got these in the hopes of reducing grill cleanup. Well, truth be told they didnāt reduce the cleanup .... they all but eliminated it!! First time out of the package they seemed a little thin but when I used them they were just awesome. They seemed to even the heat, no grease or juices dropped into the grill or onto the grate and after grilling I just left them to cool while the fat and juices āgelledā then wiped them off into the garbage and put them back on the grill for the next time. At the end of the vacation I simply washed them off before packing them. These mats replace the grilling hard labor of scraping and scrubbing with simple wiping. Absolutely love them.
I was first skeptical about this product for its price, but its the best investment i have made. 2 weeks ago i cleaned out my grill, got all the gunk out. I have been thinking about getting a grill mat just to see how it worked. Today, i grilled korean short ribs, and the marinade calls for brown sugar, it would stick to my grill and char and hard to clean. This time, everything slid off the mat, easy to clean, and a plus i dont have to clean my grill. From the picture, any grease or juices from what you are gilling wont go through the mat. It also keeps it there to help your meat moist and almost fry on itself. I love it. And this pack comes in 6 and i used 2 for my grill and can reuse these 2 and have 4 left for extras when these either burn or whatever. I recommend this product.
I use these on my Weber charcoal grills. Great for cooking veggies and fish. One caution, be careful with oil; these will channel oil and could cause flare ups. On a side note, I was making dolphin fish (Mahi if you must) with Cajun seasoning. I had a little oil on the mats, set the fish on and the oil spilled into the coals. The fire jumped up to the grill mat, I immediately put the lid on and - it being a Weber grill - the flare up was instantly extinguished. Presto! Perfectly blackened.
I use mats on our gas grill with everything from meats and fish to fruits and vegetables. Nothing is sacrificed to the grill gods! Flare ups are a thing of the past and I am sure I am lengthening the life of my grill. There were pricier versions of these and I say why? No reason to pay more. I do not store the mats in the box they came in, preferring to store flat for quick availability on grill night which would be every night except for rain! Clean up is extremely easy, a little mild dish soap, even for charred bits, and ready to go! Donāt hesitate.
This Grill Mat actually does eliminate the need to clean your grill! We have an electric grill (condo rules). Before we got the mats, our grill got crusted and filled with fat. It was miserable to carry the grill from the patio to the kitchen. You had to wait until it cooled and then spend lots of time cleaning the greasy grime off it. We have used these mats 4 times - hamburgers, steak tips, and chicken. The mats hold all the fats without letting any touch the grill. On each and every occasion, we were able to wipe off the mat after cooking and then bring just the mat into the condo for a light rinse. The grill looks like it's never been used. I LOVE this product!
I purchased these grill mats to help protect against cross-contamination of gluten on public grills. With celiac disease, this is very important for my health. The mats did a perfect job of grilling our burgers, steaks and hot dogs. They all turned out tasting grilled, unlike other methods I have tried. I used these on a gas grill. Perfect solution for clean grilling! The mats clean up very well. After use, I would suggest using a dish brush with hot soapy water to pre-clean. Then wash with a soft sponge or cloth in clean, warm soapy water to get the final residue off of the mat. It is easy to clean and works well time after time.
My wife likes grilled salmon but the fish was always sticking to the grill or breaking apart. I thought I'd try these. They work perfectly. The fish grills perfectly and doesn't stick. I've also grilled burgers using them and they come out the same as grilling without them but I don't get all the flareups I used to get. I've also put them in the dishwasher to clean them which is great so they can be used over and over.
These things are INCREDIBLE! I use my cast iron skillet A LOT and it makes a mess from cooking oils, etc. I use to make a huge tin foil spring to wrap around the pan. Now, I throw these down around the burners and clean up is easy!! Just wish I could get them in one large piece. I even put the UNDER the ednmge of the pan while cooking. They dont burn.
I was very pleasantly surprised by these mats. They definitely do what you want them to do. I've used them for chicken, fish, and veggies, and nothing sticks to them or falls through the grill grates. It's much easier to clean these than a grill basket, although obviously not as easy to turn things like vegetables or fish over on the grill. The nice thing is that you can simply slide these off the grill onto a cookie sheet or other plate with the food still on them so you don't have to clean another dish when not serving guests. As for cleaning them, they won't look perfect after use, but they do clean up very well. I would suggest using your spatula while they are still on the grill to chip any charred remains off of them, then clean with a little soapy water.
Used these last night for shrimp and veggies. It worked great. The only draw back is you don't get the true flavor of the grill as you would in a grill basket so you really need to season the food. I can see using these for many items like eggs, pancakes and even bacon and hasbrowns but for a true grill flavor you need a grill basket for sure. BUT that said, they worked great, easy to clean, came with 6 large mats so we will share with neighbors. A fun item to have just for the hell of it.
Bought these for a recent camping trip. Weāve never liked how crusty the grills are at campsites nor the fact of having to clean our own. After using these grill mats for meats and veggies, we will never use our grill again without them! The sheets are thin but very sufficient. The food did not stick or slide off. No flare up from drips and the best part was the cleaning. We always washed them right away after use and rolled back up after drying. The 6 pack will last a really long time! So glad we stumbled onto these grill mats.
Durable, easy to clean, high quality, low price. I cut one in half to use as liners in the toaster oven tray. My favorite things to use these with: fish fillets, anything with melted cheese, and turkey bacon. Slides right onto the plate no fuss. If you cook at home you need these. No need to use spray oils or tinfoil or baking paper. I wash them in dishwasher or soak in soapy water for 5 min and wipe. No problems. Highly recommend.
Someone recommend that we try using these Grill Mats for cooking on our grill. I was initially skeptical but I went ahead and ordered a set from Amazon and was absolutely amazed at the results. The meat is more juicy, no more flame-ups and very easy cleanups. I will continue to purchase this product in the future and I would highly recommend them to anyone.
Replaced copper colored mats that were hard to clean and tearing. These seem to keep foods from sticking much better. Note that they are NOT intended for high heat, use moderate heat on a grill and you will be fine. Have turned them over to let the flames clean the dirty side and then over again to revel a baked on mess that cleans easily. Pretty happy so far.
Keeps flames from flaring up and burning your food. That's what I like most about these. Also they're very inexpensive and easy to clean. You still get grill marks in your meat, too. Not sure how that works, but it does. The other great thing is you don't get meat stuck to the grill anymore. These mats are slick, so no sticking.
Love these mats. I was so happy to get these for my hunny. He grills on them all the time. We do any meats veggie. They are big enough for a standard bbq. And you can set them side by side best price and great quality. Super easy to clean! And the material seems to stand shaking the grill and they wonāt can apart. These grill mats are great!! They are so helpful when cooking chicken, burgers and even veggies. We have used these on our big grill at home and our small portable camping grill. Easy to use and easy clean up. My husband loved it so much, we bought some for our brothers and dads!!
Works great. Easy to clean. FOLLOW instructions. Do NOT clean with wire grill brush. Brush will cut holes. Iām A REAL MAN . I read instructions AFTER all else fails. LOL. After use , just flip over and cook off residue for a short time. Rinse with water , wipe off with paper towels, and you are ready for next cook off. šš
Not sure why, but this mat seems to cleanup better than others I've tried. It performs on a grill like the other mats, but does not seem to leave what look like sooty areas after cleaning. I clean the mat with Dawn and hot water using a Dobie scrubber after every use, and this one emerges cleaner. Very happy with the product. Durability seems better as well.
I've used aluminum foil on my grills for as long as I can remember. I've grilled on the grates but I don't like dealing with adjusting the heat to make sure the meat doesn't stick. These mats are awesome and also quick and easy to clean. They are super durable. I thought the fire and heat would affect them, but they continue to withstand.
